For the Colt Chrono, will the second hand be sweeping all the time or just when the chrono (stopwatch feature) is on? I prefer the "sweeping" motion of the second hand in an automatic watch over the "ticking" motion of a superquartz, but if the second hand isn't on unless I'm using the stopwatch, I'm thinking it's not a big deal to me.

I appreciate your input.

The second hand for the time keeping part of the watch is on the 9 subdial and sweeps. The Chronograph second hand is on the main dial and also sweeps, but only when using the chronograph. Hope that answers your ?. :lingsrock:

BoneDoc - thanks for the reply. Yes, that clears things up. For a watch such as the Colt Auto II, the second hand will constantly sweep, correct? That's one of the things I was looking for. I like how smooth the sweep is on an automatic even though the SuperQuartz is more precise as far as time.

Yes. All mechanical Breitlings have a regular sweeping seconds hand, the non chronographs have it centrally and the chronographs have it on a subdial.
