How many of you guys out there with a Chronograph on your watch actually use it regularly? I just want to know if it's a feature worth getting, knowing the price is usually higher for the feature.

Thanks,

I like the way chronos look. I use it once and a while to time stupid things like stoplights and cooking times.

Ya same here, the main reason i want one is because of the look, otherwise it's kinda pointless....

Currently, I do not have a Breitling, but I do have a watch with a chronograph function. I probably use the chrono about once a month and it is not something that you could live without. I only use it for stupid stuff too, like RJRJRJ. If you are concerned about the price (which I know you are) I would not reccamend the chronograph, although it does look better.

really interesting post.

I just thought it looked cool versus standard non chronograph watch.

I do actually use it now maybe every other day for "recording" stuff. I think it looks nice to look at the sweep of the hand too! :lingsrock:

If you have a couple of normal ones already, get a chrono to complete it !

I use mine all the time. It's like many things in life, sometimes its better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

My first chronograph is an Avenger Skyland Blacksteel, purchased about a year ago. I have not once used the chronograph functions, other than trying them to learn how they work. I bought the model because of it's uniqueness, sturdy looks, and I like the aesthetic effect of the subdials and push crowns.
Now that I have a new Seawolf, which also has the stencilled numerals, I am wearing that exclusively.
The Colt Auto seems a good model for you. Also, for about $250. more, you can get a Steelfish. That is worth taking a look at. It is slightly bigger, some like the dial with the round markers and some don't, and the lug width (where is strap/bracelet attaches to the case) is slightly wider, 22mm as opposed to 20mm, and this makes the watch look a lot heftier.
It's too bad you really are not into the quartz. The Colt quartz is the most reasonably priced Breitling, it has a dial with all numerals, plus the brushed look, and is an amazingly robust and accurate watch. It is all COSC Certified, which makes Breitlings quartz watches fairly unique in that most other brands of quartz models are not certified.
I doubt that a lot of people who own a chronograph even have a clue how they work.
Cheeers,
Carl

It looks much better, doesn't cost much more (in the 2nd hand market)
and has a higher resale value. And it might come in handy one day!

Breitlings are synonymous with chronographs. :lingsrock:
If you don't want a chronograph watch, get a Rolex
