Only a day to go on the 1/4 finals and only a little over half of the votes that were cast in this round last year - very surprising (and not a little disappointing).

Come on guys - some Vintage watch will win otherwise. :roll:

I've been voting, but I think every one I vote for loses, :roll: .

Except for the one I nominated of course, :lol: . What's up with that ?

Semi-final matchups now live - let's try and get a decent number of votes this time!

The 769 put in a final spurt there to beat the BB. I thought the BB was going to keep it's slender lead.

will the design of the BB define Breitling's unique market position & design for the next 70 years and more ? ;)
just asking ....

no chance it will beat the mighty and wonderful Navitimer 01;
but some 769 examples, mid 1940s to mid 1950s; hi res links above thumbnails

Yeah it was surprising to see the 769 come through at the end - probably disappointed some members, but if you don't vote you deserve what you get and less than 0.3% of the membership voted......

Oh I totally agree with you Fred. I've said it before, but the BB is one watch that I've always liked in photos but never liked on my wrist. It's a nice enough design IMO, but I've got the rabid support it alwsy seems to produce in fans.

The 769 is a very nice watch, but I can't being myself to vote against the superb Navi 01........... even with your SHAMELESSLY promotional and results-skewing photos! :wink: :poke: :lol:

Not me. It has a classic movement with display back, the classic Navi style with the slide rule, and the military time scale used in aviation. I know it did not get that dial until long after pilots popularized the 12 hour dial Navitimer. Still, the Cossie strikes me as perhaps the purest expression of the aviation professionals watch.

Final and 3/4th place polls are live guys.

I guess this final was obvious for a couple of weeks, hopefully now it's here there will be a bit more interest than 40 votes or so.

Both modern interpretations but in house vs. ETA, perpetual vs. regular chrono, let's see what happens!
