For those who prefer the "vinegar" approach...

We are disappointed, we are distraught and we are disenchanted with who Breitling appears to have become. Every year, we are the ones waiting in anticipation for the newest Breitling classic. It appears that we must wait yet another year. Innovation and culture are being replaced by novelty. The new Colt model personifies this recent degradation of brand with it's lack of character, lack of class and lack of inspiration. It is difficult to envision coming from the Breitling family of legends like Chronomat, Navitimer Blackbird and the Bentley's. We are the loyal Breitling Enthusiasts.. the Fanatics... the Connoisseurs. Hear us. Listen to us. Inspire us. .....or lose us. :plot: :plot: :plot:

...and another thing....ease up on the rubber bezel my brothers! :nono: I love my SO Abyss! Black on black of course (not a fan of the swatch- esque colors) but I do love that watch! To the Sharkman's point..let's be at least respectful, if not open, to individual taste. No one should be getting angry talking about Breitlings (except that guy that just had his snatched in Vegas)! :soapbox:

My individual taste is I don't like what Breitling has done to itself, and it makes me angry just talking about it.

Dear Breitling,
It’s been beautiful; it really has. Walks on the beach with the Evo. Classy nights with the Navi. Getting rough and ready with the Steelfish. We were good together. But I’m afraid our romance is over. The spark is gone.

It’s not me. It's YOU! You used to be so beautiful but you’ve let yourself go. These “enhancements”. This silicon (ok rubber, but go with me). These chunky diamonds. I thought you were an early Sophia Loren. But you’re an aging Kim Kardashian. I wanted clean, classy and classic. You’ve become an instrument that is now a “pro”.

100 words on the dot. I agree it would make almost no sense at all the Breitling; but it would be fun to send!

OK, on a less flippant note, I don't disrespect you or anyone for liking what they like. (Disclaimer: except Invictas, which I've already made clear.) And I wasn't intending to be disrespectful to you by disagreeing with what you wrote. I am of the opinion that if you want to see a problem get solved, you've got to at least point out the problem, rather than just kill with kindness and hope your message will somehow come across. Think of a batting coach who just encourages an athlete to keep swinging, but never bothers to point out the problems the person has with his swing.

If you are happy with what Breitling is currently offering, you're certainly entitled to that. I wish I could be, but I'm not; a lot of others here are not, as well. That's going to result in some grumbling, especially because we've seen the brand evolve (or devolve) from something we used to really like. It only stands to reason that when someone comes in expressing enthusiasm for the very things we see as having cheapened the brand we once esteemed, that person will hear our displeasure. It's nothing personal.

No worries JS! I am in agreement with you for the most part and salute your passion! I went the diplomat path, you choose that of the general :guns:. Every war has a need for both! Good news (for me) is that we're on the same side :lingsrock:

This is good, but I'm not sending a pen to Australia! The shipping for the hat was twice what they go for. Sorry - New Rules. :nana:

Hey Breitling! Your new line sucks! Go back to the old style. We like rider tabs and metal bezels. Stop trying to innovate by adding rubber, rainbow colored crap, and stupid looking fonts. We hate it and will not buy it.

Sincerely,
Breitlingsource.

Perfect!

Oh and for the record: 43 words!! And I can gladly remove the courtesies at the beginning and end to get it under 40. :geek:
