Help me decide - Colt II Quartz or Superocean?

I'm stuck in a dilema over which one to buy. One is a new black dial/strap Colt II SQ, the other is a 2009 yellow dial/black strap SO. I like them both, please advise, thanks.

I would always pick an automatic watch over a quartz.

Im with the auto crowd, but the yellow dial might be a deal breaker if you need versatility.

i would take a used automatic over a new quartz anyday. but thats me, pick the one you like the most and go for it!!! steve

Is there a problem that I didn't kno the difference? As long as it looks good on my wrist, what difference does it make? And did I not mention "still new"? Yeah WOW!

not a fan of SOII but would have it over the colt. I actively went out to get a SuperQuartz and that is why I now have the SQ Chrono Colt which I would also take over the SOII... just my opinion and every ones is different that's what makes this place great!
Go with what you really feel most comfortable with and enjoy it.

Yellow over black as it is less common, but I would also take the mechanical/automatic over the quarts/battery. I also like the SO's size over the colt's so in my book the colt has nothing on the SO. But for sure get what you like best and don't let the mechanical vs. battery sway you if it does not matter to YOU. Both are Breitling so good no matter what you decide.

As most of the members said, buy an automatic watch. And a nice watchwinder now that your collection is growing. :wink:

I think he was referring to the original Superocean...he said 2009.
