Here are some pictures for you all to drool over. They are a little dark. I dont have a photo tent so it is what it is. I was surprized to see exactly how much of the movement is visible. You can really see the guts of this little marvel. I also wanted to meantion that cost wasn't the only reason for the calf strap(s). It had the black Croco on it when I arrived, but for my taste it just looked better with the smooth leather. More like what a pilot WOULD be wearing IMO. Plus they are a whole lot cheaper (expecially on a tang buckle!). I already have a black Croco 22mm on deploy so if the mood strikes me I guess it can be outfitted pretty easily!

Enjoy your watch porn....

That is supurb! You're making me rethink my idea of having it on a black croc; I do like the calf strap on yours. Out of curiosity, how big is your wrist? I'm trying to gauge how the watch is going to look on my rather puny 6 1/4 wrist.

I see you updated your signature as well :lingsrock:

Craig,

I have a little larger wrist at 7 1/2". My Navi World looks normal. This one fits great. It wears about the size of the Evo (same feeling on the profile as well).

Thanks for the input. The standard Navi is a little too small for my taste, so I think the 43mm Navi 01 is going to fit nicely. I'm just hoping the "short" deployant will somehow fit my wrist. The standard length wouldn't come close.

I'm one of those people who really dont mind a tang buckle. My Croco is on deployment is nice looking, but IMO the tang is just (if not more) comfortable. I had the brown and black calf, on and off this watch several times before deciding to leave the black one on. The AD decided that I needed the brown one too and structured a deal where I basically got the brown one for free!

Bronco, that is just fantastic, I'm hoping I may get my calling this week!

You are alone my friend, I also think that Navi looks best on the black calf and I also think the pin buckle strap is more comfortable.

I've ordered mine on the bracelet as I already have a black calf to go on it (albeit a deployant!).

Wear it in good health.

Stef

Nice piece Bronco, wish I could afford to put my name on one of those rascals, but it will have to wait unfortunately....enjoy and wear it well.

Just got a call that mine is in, going to pick it up tomorrow morning with any luck. Guess that's my Christmas gift to myself sorted out :lingsrock:

Thats awesome Roff. I look forward to your impressions. Expecially with your hands on experience with high caliber watches. To me, this is one of the nicest watches Breitling has made. It is, of course...hands down, my nicest peice.

That's great news, Roff. Unfortunately, I'm still awaiting my phone call.

Just got back from picking it up. Dearly beloved wants it to be a Christmas present so detailed impressions will have to wait a few weeks, but I am very pleased with what I have seen. The dial is very refined and precise and I really like the contrast between the white of the slide rule and the silver of the subdials.

I love the engraving of the LE number on the case side and hope that is a sign of things to come. The display back is very well done and gives a nice view of the in house movement. As always with automatics a smaller rotor would have helped to see the movement, but I am delighted that Breitling finally did produce an automatic DB. They had a Chronomat LE there as well so I could compare side by side, and I definitely made the right choice for me.

It's been a while since my last new Breitling, but this is a very welcome addition. :lingsrock:

Congrats, Roff. It's a shame you have to wait until Christmas to wear it, but if there ever was a piece worth the wait, it's this one.

I didn't realize the subs were silver. I need to go back and take a closer look at the pics that Bronco posted. Having three different colors on the dial doesn't sound appealing to me on paper, but it obviously can't be that bad, as I'm smitten with the Navi 01.
