Sorry if I am hyjacking the thread (new to the forum, not sure how it works, if it's more appropriate to post a new one, please advise).

I also am a big fan of the Super Avenger, and also the Navitimer. I am looking to upgrade my everyday Hercules (which I love) with one of them, which one do you guys like more and why, maybe you could post some comparison pics?

Thanks much in advance, this forum is AMAZING!
:lingsrock:

I can post a side by side later if you would like.

Side by side...46mm vs. 48mm

From this angle, it doesn't look as large.

You're very welcome.

The Navi-World is much more comfortable to wear than the Super Avenger. The bracelet is very comfortable!

How often are you guys breaking out the cape cod to polish your SA's in order to rid the bracelet of hairline scratches? I've had my SA for about 2 weeks, and have worn it daily. I can already notice several small hairline scratches mostly along the underside and near the clasp. It's really only visible if you inspect the watch closely, but they do seem to scratch somewhat easily.

Polished timepieces = Scratch magnets.

I have a small cloth I rest my left arm on when I'm stationary at my desk at work. It helps keep mine scratch free. I use Cape Cod cloths for minor stuff and buff by hand or with a Dremel attachment. I have an awesome Dremel kit that will remove deeper scratches with a little work. It's time consuming because I use extremely mild polish to work out rough spots (or what I consider rough).

What kind of polish are you using? Thanks.

I use Dremel polishing compound #421, Cape Cod cloths, and a polish called Crystal Clear.

Thanks for the info. If I find it easy to maintain the polished finish of my SA, it might push me to keep it if I'm on the fence again.

I've never had a SA, but I just recently sold my B4B 6.75. Reason why I sold is, it was just too big and shiny for a everyday use. Seeing all the hairline-scratches etc was just to much for me to handle :roll: It was also to big do hide under the sleeve.. Theese would be the things I would consider if I was to buy a big and blingy Breitling again..

@Boogiebot

If you think that's bad, you should see how I care for my automobiles. I'm very particular.

I've worked extremely hard all of my life. It may seem crazy to some, but I am a firm believer in maintaining my home, autos, jewelry, etc.. I have been this way as far back as I can remember. It baffles some of my family.

@Ross

No problem. I've owned my Navi-World for a little over three years and it's finish is still flawless. Don't get me wrong, polished items are harder to take care of. If you are careful and stay on top of cleaning and polishing it from time to time, they are a pleasure to own.

:yeahthat and it's the female part of the family that has problems understanding :evil:

For example, I give personally my BMWs a special treat at least once a month, especially polish and leather care.

For that, I've been treated from crazy to sick for the same reasons but what the heck, they don't know what they're talking about, right Brian? :)
