Nothing communicated to ADs in Canada, still checking with Grigoros (distributor). Biggest thing for me is the complete lack of anything on any of the other boards.

I'm leaning towards .......................... hoax, but I wouldn't wager real money on it.

I double checked with my Breitling Sales Rep and he confirmed all I have said. Don't know whether US or Canadian are one step behind here in the UK and Europe.

shame everyone doubts me, perhaps I shouldn't bother giving more details if all I get is skeptical people.

Don't take it personally. While we certainly appreciate your information, it’s just difficult to determine the validity if your assertions. It's made worse by the fact that there is a level of anonymity on the internet that makes it difficult to track the source of the information. Also, the fact that it has not yet been corroborated naturally leads to skepticism.

I don't see the harm in others trying to investigate some your claims a bit further. Any good journalist will tell you at least 2 sources are needed to report on a story.

If you're right, you'll have scooped the story for us!

Agreed.

This is a significant turnaround for Breitling - DBs after years of no DBs outside of Japan as a prime example, significant expansion of the B01 from a single model to multiple ranges being another.

I don't remember the last time that something like this came out and after almost 24 hours no one else had it so we are looking for Breitling confirmation. Look at this thread from two years ago about something that I picked up first - no one believed that either (least of all me) - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4083. That one only took about 8 hours to be confirmed, but these are taking longer.

Fair point about investigating the watches further - I'll keep watching the topic over next day or two.
I was in Basel again this year and there was no mention of these lines then, just the new Superocean II, name/bezel/dial changes to Windrider models, Galactic 36 Auto introduction, Chronospace (incl. Jet Team limited edition), Avenger "Code Yellow", Montbrillant Legende LE etc.

Exciting times

I agree with you that Breitling ought to offer more cases housing the B01 movement, and I think they will. But isn't it a bit of an exaggeration to say that it's "long overdue" when the movement has only been commercially available for less than two years?

Just a shift of perspective.

Peace

Mike

Agreed. Maybe spending so much time on here makes it feel much longer.

I'm mostly expressing the point that I think most people would have liked to see something like this at Basel this year.

Has anyone got these new watches validated yet? Don't understand why nobody has been able to get confirmation. I have placed orders with my rep for the LE Blacksteel Avenger Seawolf Chrono and LE Blackbird for the store already.

See RJRJRJ has been busy - did laugh at the Turdbird though. Come on guys - get on the case. The newbie has beaten you all to them.

As the saying goes - "Doubt is the beginning, not the end, of wisdom."

These two don't need confirming as lots of AD's (including mine) had them in for a while, and a couple of guys here already own them. It's all the others we're struggling to confirm at the moment, Martin! :)

I guess we're just a cynical bunch here and like anything in life we're just looking for a second opinion from somewhere........ and so far no-one has been able to find one.

Not all of us are distrusting and skeptical. If you're news is real then bravo to you for being the Walter Cronkite and breaking the news.... if they're fake then thanks for the creativity and laughs! You have inspired another post which may go down as a legendary post in the history of the site.

Confirmed. Martin is telling the truth from what I've heard from the west coast Breitling rep.

The DBs, the B01 in a Navitimer, the different colored Seawolfs etc. The only thing that I didn't get confirmed was that the new Chronomat w/DB would be in an old chronomat case, not the B01....

Martin, you are the man. Just about everything you claim has been confirmed by a Breitling Rep.

As for the time frame of when they will be released, that is yet to be determined.

Wow, a second opinion was what I was looking for, and this looks like it! Martin, you are indeed The Man!

I have to say though, you must know a VERY loose-lipped Breitling rep, for there to be not even a hint of this news anywhere else on the net yet! :D Good news for us though, so thanks for bringing them to our attention! Most appreciated!

Thank goodness! Yes, timescale was not given to me and neither was the price as this stage. It will be great to see a sapphire crystal caseback.
The B01 movement was to be in an older Chronomat case but was to be matt and not polished.
Glad to be the first with news of these models
