Typical first time post, looking for advice on a White dial Bentley Le Mans. I will upload some (poor quality) pictures tonight as I'm not sure how to upload them from my iPhone! What information should I be requesting from the seller other than a quality detailed picture of the face and back of the watch?

Thanks in advance for your time gents

The Le Mans fake is very bad so photos will tell you whether it's real or not.

Make sure that all of the paperwork has matching serial numbers and find ou whether the watch has been serviced - it's at the age now where it should have had one.

Thanks for the swift reply, I'll mail a request for more pictures of the documentation too. Don't suppose you have an idea of the sort of price I should be looking at as £2400 sounded a little cheap to me

Agreed, that is very cheap. It's a tough market right now though.

Apologies for the ridiculously large photographs, didn't realise they would come out like that until I hit preview!

That's not a Le Mans.

It's a regular white dial Bentley Motors, and from those photos I have no idea whether it's real or not - there are good Motors fakes.

Thanks a lot for the heads up Roff, I won't mention this to the seller just yet, I'll see if he sends any decent pics through and will post them up for info.

:welcome:

I agree with Roff both regarding it not being a Le Mans and getting macro pics showing serials match on watch, COSC and warranty.

It also appears that the date wheel has bright red numbers turned through 90 degrees which suggests fake to me.

I would advise caution before committing to buy and certainly post better pics on here for comment.

Quick update for those that are interested, I've further corresponded with the seller who assures me he has all paperwork in order including original invoice when purchased new. I've requested more detailed pictures and will post up when they come through, in the meantime could anyone please advise exactly which model the rubbish pictures I've posted seem to be so I can do some reading up, and if possible a rough guide price? By hook or by crook I will eventually pick up my first Breitling :) Thanks again guys, really appreciate the help, can't put a price on peice of mind.

It's a Bentley Motors. Completed listings on eBay are the best price guide.

Here is my advice. No matter what this guy says do not buy the watch. If it sounds too cheap and those are the pictures he posted to sell a $9000 watch then I'd walk with out even thinking about it. There is always another one out there.

Yeah agreed, bizarre thing is I've had great communication with the guy and asked lots of questions which he's had seeming honest answers for, such as he told me there is a scratch on the bracelet and it hasn't been serviced.

For info he sent me the model reference number A25962 which doesn't even seem to follow the standard! I googled "Breitling A25962" and only found a couple of matches on Chrono 24. Is this even a legit model?!?!? I was under the impression the fourth character (third number) had to be a 0 or a 3 depending on whether or not it was a chronograph... Intrigued now more than anything!

That is not a real model number, watch has to be fake.

You're correct in that A25962 is not a correct Breitling ref. It should be 362 for a Motors. Another reason to take care with this seller.

Almost right. Most Breitlings have a 3 to indicate COSC certified or 0 for non-COSC, irrespective of whether they are a chronograph. There are a few exceptions namely

xx1xx - UTC/Co-Pilot module
xx4xx - Astromat
xx6xx - Shark quartz
xx8xx - Mulliner Tourbillon

The watch in the pic you posted certainly looks real to me. I agree with all above comments about using caution given the inconsistencies from this seller. However, just playing devils advocate on the model number here, it is possible the seller could have simply misread the model number mistaking a 9 for a 3. In that case, the number would be correct for a Motors. (A25362).

I was just thinking that if the watch is legit and the seller is simply a bonehead idiot who doesn't know sh-- from Shinola then I would hate for you to miss out on what certainly appears to be a good deal. Any chance of some better pictures of the watch and the paperwork?
