I really love the look of both watches. Looking at either the Skyracer with a slate grey dial or a Super Avenger. I haven't decided what color SA, Looking for other opinions and especially from those who have owned one or the other.

if ur wrist can handle it, SA all the way...more bang for the bucks (and much cheaper).

the skyracer wears smaller than its size suggest (43.5mm)

I own both. The skyracer is def not as flashy as the SA. When I got my SA it def put the skyracer to sleep for awhile. But I do still wear it at times and everytime I do it I want to wear it more often. The skyracer feels good on and isn't as much of a "job" to wear it. Its lighter and smaller so it fits under all shirts/jackets no problem. I tend to wear the racer during the day and the SA more as a nighttime watch. BUT if I could only pick one I'd go SA. My slate dial skyracer looks mint, wears great, but the SA just commands attention.

SA. I think that it is a great watch. If you go with a white dial you can throw all sorts of straps on it to give it dressy or sporty looks. IMO it is a no contest.

Even though I own an SA and don't own a Skyracer, I've actually voted the other way!

While I still love the SA, I am finding it a bit too much of the default choice for people these days. The Skyracer is a bit more understated and classy, and that tends to be the way I am leaning more these days (well, certainly the "understated" part, dunno about the "classy" bit yet!  )

SA. duh  . It's a lot of watch for the money. The only downfall I find is that I can't wear any of my other watches, They seem like little toys compared to the SA.

Voted skyracer. Stunning watch with a beautiful and busy dial. Better size I personally think as well.

Good luck with the choice

The Skyracer is a way more interesting watch. Excellent chronograph feature with just the two sub dials. The minute register is actually the main dial of 60 minutes. Therefore, as Breitling says, the elapsed time can be instantly noted on the large dial, and long periods of up to twelve hours are instantly noted on the smaller dial at nine o'clock, which reads both hours and minutes elapsed. Very cool and unique feature. Also, the slide rule feature uses a geared system which is both smooth and waterproof. The watch carries a 200 meter wr rating and that without screw down pushers, which are annoying when you really want to use them, amazing. All of those unique features is why the watch is a little more pricey.
A very classy watch that you won't regret owning.

My first was an EM just because I travel a lot and it gives me (& my family) a bit more piece of mind. But when I was considering between the SA & Airwolf for my second, I realize that if I don't yet own an SA, I will always wonder & yearn for one...

Easy for those that have (or had) many, many fine watches to comment that the SA is ubiquitous. But for those of us just starting a collection, the SA is the most basic, MUST-HAVE of all the Breitlings, imo (that is, assuming your wrist can carry one of)! Good luck!
