What does "Warranty and attestation certificate (has name written on outside along with serial number) have matching serial numbers (#723###), but do not see that number on the watch. Boxes are in good condition, but have slight signs of handling. I am not privy to this watch's manufacturing beginnings. "

So strange...

The Clasp on the watch is absolutely fake, The font is too small, and it looks laser inscribed and not molded.

Also the font of Breitling on the front is too small. Also the bezel on the authentic piece has sharp pointy edges, the watch on the ebay auction has flat edges on the bezel.

Check out the Datora in the models database and compare for yourself.

Becareful though, the seller is smart and doesn't state in the auction that the watch is authentic from the start. So if you buy it then find out it's fake he will say he never knew if it was the real thing, and didn't say it was the real thing in his auction.

PS - I am assuming he has a authentic real Breitling that he is using to give the papers and warranty for this auction. Since he states in the auction that he has the warranty and certificate, but they do not match the back of the fake watch. Basically the seller is admitting to the viewer that the watch is fake, without actually saying it in those words.

Only had a very quick look at this one as I am supposed to be working today(unfortunately!), but the markings on at least 2 of the sub-dials are different to those on the picture of the authentic one.... which would indicate a fake. The space between the slide rule markings on the bezel and those on the dial also looks a bit wider than I'd expect, but it may just be the picture. Agree that the engraving on the clasp also just looks a bit wrong.

100% fake. Subdials have wrong values, also they are laying flat on dial, on real they are slightly 'pressed' inside the dial. Display window shows year and it supposed to show day of the week. Red date marker is too thick. Red scale for showing 1/100 of a minute has a wrong radius on subdials.

Show me your hands! Seriously, the hands are simply not the same from one watch to the other...aside from all the other things noted.

I am not privy to this watch's manufacturing beginnings. So please ask questions, bid accordingly and good luck. No returns or refunds, please.

To me this is the clincher.....from looking at my breitling watches on ebay, by saying bid accordingly is a sure sign that the watch is fake!!

thankfully no one has bid on it yet!!

And Sportback, i agree, the hands are very noticeably different!

It's a real bad fake! I know because I have the exact same one. Too many faults to list but one easy one is the year in the day window position. I think mine only goes to 2012 or something. What do you set it to after that?

I voted fake.

Bracelet clasp looks cheap, there is a large gap between the dial and the slide rule, and no anti-relective coating on the crystal.

No question. 100% fake and a bad one at that. Wrong dials, wrong markings etc as already detailed above.

Note the way he has arranged the papers so that you can't see that they are not for this watch. The box/papers are for a Crosswind Special and were bought in this auction back in October.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140170300202

You'd think these scammers would have the patience to wait three months so you can't check that they bought the box/papers on Ebay!
