Could anyone of standing please validate this watch? I think it looks like a fake, but of course I do not know every watch that has ever been in the Breitling catalogue. Many thanks in advance.

Even with the evidence of this image? Granted the pushers are completely off.

To be fair, never seen it, so good find! So, maybe ok - at least the dial is real!

Caseback looks very unconventional too I might add…What’s inside?

Apparently a Valjoux 7733

From the "good" examples I have found since my original post, I can see that the pushers are aftermarket, the lugs are heavily polished (which is odd for a plated watch, so maybe it has been re-plated too) and the sub-dial hands are completely wrong.

a ref. 9122, the same also marketed as a Wakmann.
horrible, but basically authentic, pushers are (poor) service replacements.
manufactured May, 1972.

I noticing the lug shape too as I was trying to see if it was the same case as the long player (it’s not). Sometimes these polished lugs still look plated in photos - reflection I guess. I think in person, they would be polished with base metal showing through.

REF 9122. First time I saw one, I thought it was fake too, but a quick Google revealed plenty of examples. REF 9121 (in my humble opinion) is a much nicer looking ref.

Here is one that I saw on ebay not too long ago that sold for a little under $2k (I feel they paid too much for it though)
