I'm arriving on island next Wednesday and soon after the shipping company should have this there after it is delivered to their Miami shipping office - G-Shock GWF-D1000NV-2JF Frogman. Navy version of the 2016 Basel Frogman with depth gauge so works for beach / boat / water use.

The only watch I'll need and likely to outlive me with virtually no attention.

Looks pretty cool, pity they won't sort that daft US date format.

Not daft to anyone from the US, and as an Englishman who has spent 20+ years in North America I don't even remember which is English, which is Canadian and which is American format now. Certainly not a factor in the purchase decision.

Nice choice Rene. I opted for the Frogman due to planning on spending more time under water than you but that is a good looking piece.

Have an eye on that Gulfmaster too, it’s has most of what I like in my protrek plus hands which is a bonus :) and my protrek is my go to water watch. Have it on a ZULU for that added safety

Best of luck on in the islands. It's been fun watching you plan for this. Nice to see it finally happened.

Roff-- Finally on your way. Congratulations and enjoy your retirement. Next time I run into Shark I'll let him know.

You can't beat a G-Shock Froggy Roff. I've had a two myself, and they're excellent for what you're going to use it for. A fine choice indeed.

That said, and although I really liked mine, I ended up selling them both - one was just too big for anything but short sleeves (and living in the UK means that short-sleeves are very much the exception rather that the rule! :? ), and the other was bright yellow and ended up discolouring by being next to something dark : still not sure to this day what it was that caused it. But that new model you're getting Roff will be ideal for your needs.... and as you say, virtually zero maintenance.
