I picked up my Chronomat GMT yesterday and I got the AD to resize the SS Pilot bracelet, this seems OK at first but after wearing it for a few hours I notice that the underside of the folding clasp was digging into my wrist due to a sharp edge (please see pics below).

I would have thought that the highlighted edges would have been rounded off by the factory, does anyone else with a Pilot SS bracelet have this issue? I have added a link back in to try and stop the digging in but now the watch rotates too much, I love the SS bracklet but I may well consider going for the black rubber one if this is "normal" for the strap.

If it is too tight with the link out have you expanded the micro adjuster where the links join the clasp? Your picture looks like this is on the smallest setting and will loosen up less than adding a link back in.

I had just moved the clasp adjustment to its smallest setting after adding a link back in, with 2 links out I need the clasp as max size, with 1 link out I need it at it smallest.

May I take it then that the sharp edge is a manufacturing defect and I should request a replacement clasp/bracelet?

My wife's Super Ocean has the Professional III bracelet and that has a similar hinge assembly and it is very smoothly finished with no sharp edges.

Update:

My AD confirmed the edges were too sharp and they have ordered a new bracelet.

I have also ordered the black rubber strap option as well as I think that will be more comfortable.
