Hi all,

New to the forum here and no doubt this is something I should have checked with the experts beforehand but of course I couldn't help myself... I bought a Breitling Top Time ref 2006 from Ebay with a very tatty case but what I hope is an original dial in fairly decent condition. I was wondering if anyone could assist with in confirming its legitimacy/provenance?

I have a friend who can do some light repair to the case (hope that doesn't offend!) and leaving the dial I'm hoping it will turn out quite nice in the end. Also wondering if anyone had any advice with regards to the lug width on the 2006 model? I read various threads and sites suggesting either 18, 19 or 20mm, and I see plenty of watches around (including this one) with 20mm straps on them in the pictures. I'm guessing they are probably 19mm lugs with most people choosing to shoehorn a 20mm strap on there? I'm thinking a brown croc strap to go with it.

Look forward to hearing people's thoughts.

Cheers,
Ian
