hi!

Can someone tell me when this watch is made? it´s a bretiling cadette chronograph, the numbers on the back says, 766845, 11410 and 1199. I bought it on ebay cause i liked the look of it. i payed 650 dollars for it, was it to much or a good price? the seller said it was from 1960 but i am not sure.

The serial number dates to 1950, 1199 is the model number, but......

Can you give us a better picture of the dial as well as pictures of the caseback (preferably inside and out) and the movement please? I'm not entirely convinced from that photo that the watch is completely original.

OK, feeling better now

Still not sure about the middle number on the caseback though - someone else will have some ideas.

all answered by Roff; ref. 1199, manufactured in 1950; strange additional number between the two; we've had some explanations/theories these might be cases used by several brands, so multiple ref. numbers used, but it's a theory only.

price is fair.

I've not seen yet this type of lugs on a cadette.

Reviving this old thread to document a similar watch. Not much on the forum regarding the Cadette 1199. Seems like this might have been a short-lived model. The ebay description says the case is 38mm. If that's true, this would have been a large dress watch for that era. Also looks like Breitling continued to use this reference number but changed the lugs to a more square / block design.

Anyone have any more photos or info regarding this reference? Any more info of what 11410 is about?
