I recently picked up a black croc strap for my Super Avenger and I was curious if I needed to use a different (thicker) spring bar. If so, where can I order and which ones do I need? I've found some that are 1.5mm and 2.5mm thick, just unsure which I need or if the ones on the SS bracelet will work. Thanks in advance for the help!

The stainless ones will work fine, I always change up my bands and use the same pins. Should be no problem

It is a problem!

Strap spring bars have a larger diameter than bracelet spring bars - from memory you need 1.8mm.

Yes, strap 1.8 and bracelet 1.5.

Some discussion of the perils of swapping @

And I hope that you never do, but strap spring bars have different end links and a wider diameter for a more secure fit and less wear on the strap. For the sake of a few cents for the right spring bar.......

Thanks Roff, I will try and get some of the wider ones for the straps.

I'm in a similar situation...bought the new pro 3 for my Chronospace, but only have the strap spring bars. I've looked all over the internet and can't find any online that seem correct (even at www.ofrei.com). Unfortunately the local AD could only offer me an order from Tokyo which would take at least a month (why, I have no idea). I live too far from Tokyo to make a trip to the main AD in Japan. Would anyone be willing to find the correct bracelet spring bars at a local AD in the states for me and mail them? I'd be happy to reimburse via paypal, etc. and would greatly appreciate it. I would like to wear my watch again without having to wait over a month. Thanks guys!
