If this was not an inhouse movement, do you still think it would have won?

Kind of a hard question - chicken or the egg stuff. It is what it is and Driver's summation explains it best and why it not only deserves our admiration on its own but even more so contrasted to all the silly stuff Breitling has been producing.

Umm ... Isn't Navitimer in the OP misspelt?

How can You consider this watch a winner. The date window at 135 degrees looks ridiculous (especially the earlier tricompax versions with word "date" written under date window. It is hilarious !) the only true and serious Navitimers are early versions without date and Old Navitimers. For me at least and I think a lot of others will agree!

lol

kriwia, I think the fact that we all voted on this poll and it won by popular vote on the forum suggests that we do consider the watch a winner ;-)

It's kind of a subjective thing, which was voted through democratic means :)

Personally, I know the Blackbird will always be the best ;)
