a new member looking for a nice, authentic 40s Breitling found this.

A "trusted seller" on Chrono24 ! We assumed this meant something, until we found out it is enough to pay your bill to Chrono24 and be listed for 90 days to reach this elevated status.

This seller is currently listing 23 vintage Breitlings on Chrono24, none of which seem impeccable, most are outright junk.

Have a look:
http://www.chrono24.com/en/dealer/3mont ... lay+offers

below are the most blatant examples, have started reporting to Chrono24 & would appreciate not being left alone  ?

http://www.chrono24.com/en/breitling/19 ... /index.htm
"50s" 3hand, refinished dial, no ref. and serial no. , typical Buenos Aires style

http://www.chrono24.com/en/breitling/19 ... /index.htm
" Breitling Geneve " on a "40s chrono" (Breitling moved to Geneva in 1952), no ref. #

http://www.chrono24.com/en/breitling/19 ... /index.htm
junk, TopTime only started a decade later than 1955, we have seen this one before, out of Florida, I think. seller removed the Landeron movement picture, now calls this a Valjoux, which would also be wrong for claimed period.

http://www.chrono24.com/en/breitling/da ... /index.htm
Craig would probably call this a "Dawhora" too, Sandoz case ?

http://www.chrono24.com/en/breitling/19 ... /index.htm
have a look at this caseback, another logo was dremeled out and "Breitling" added, no reference no. etc, junk!

http://www.chrono24.com/en/breitling/19 ... /index.htm
refinished (at least) dial, wrong bridge stamping for claimed period, no ref/serial shown but inner caseback looks brand new.

http://www.chrono24.com/en/breitling/tr ... /index.htm
ref 761 ???, no similarities I see to other mid 40s Premiers ?

and our old friend, the original "Dawhora", now without the wrong bridge stamping and questionable case marking visible and at a discount of 75%:

no Roff, you are not dense, Mr. Durner et al are apparently avid readers here and it seems to be possible to remove the "social media" bar for chrono24.com listings, which includes the "report" button, example below; Durner has apparently now disabled this:

the alternative is to send the complaint to info@chrono24.com, have done that including a link to this thread.

ok, emailed chrono24, got a very surprised reply and an explanation why the "report" button was not visible on my links & the promise to correct this:

"The dealer you mentioned is a trusted seller since 05/2010. Since this time he had a lot of customer contacts and we never have received any complaint about this dealer.
As for the fake watches it would be very helpful if you could provide us with more detailed information to every watch and why it looks fake to you. Best provided with some pictures of the original watches.

The report watch button is active on his listings on Chrono24 (just search any of his watches on the Chrono24.com site) but this button does not appear on the Chrono24 dealer listing sites for any dealer. We will ad the report button on this sites as well "

I did explain about the many problems with the watches by email, next reply:

"We will have a look into this and get back to you if we have any further questions.
Of course we will confront the dealer with this issue as well"

I have now inserted the corrected links to the reportable pages on chrono24.com, so (please?) just click and report if you find the time, closing down the FrankenFake Superstore is turning out to be quite the project.

The seller probably can't get past eBay so he's trying to pass his wares on chrono24...

This guy has at least 2 ebay accounts naxos0000 & nd0805.

He is doing always the same kind of "business".

He shops arround for reduced watches on eBay, then he basically opens a paypal case "received fake watch". After he is giving instantly a negative feedback and send the seller a message to pay him back his money at once by destroying the watch. Some might even do this.

If paypal tells him to send back the watch to the seller first, he doesnt react or he send back an empty packet or filled in with a lighter for example.

In the end he keeps all watches for selling-on..

:poke:

And eBay is just watching..

On December 2010 Naxos0000 bought from me 4 watches
2 Ulysse and 2 Breitling :

http://www.chrono24.com/en/dealer/3mont ... tview=null

and

http://www.chrono24.com/en/dealer/3mont ... tview=null

When he received the watches, he did a paypal complaint ( that he win... ),

He got 4 wristwatches for free. He was a bad experience...

Can you provide more particulars, and you may wish to review postings by "enigma" at this forum, or was he "Misterenigma", too?

as our dear new friend 3montana does not want to give us his opinion about these fakes, a short update from me.

some of the most pathetic examples on offer in the Durner Vintage FrankenFake SuperStore on Chrono24 have now been marked as "sold" (hopefully at a flea market in Paris for their true value of about 99 cents for the stock lot), but I am still waiting for the promised action or information from the http://www.chrono24.com "support team".

Feel free to remind them: Chrono24 Support [support@chrono24.com]

I must say that I am quite surprised by the chrono24.com lack of action; unliking them on facebook will not help, but at least makes me feel a little better, being somebody´s friend - even on facebook -for me does require at least some basic trust.

Leaving such blatant frankenfakes on their site - by their "chrono24 trusted seller" - is really quite disappointing.

He has another eBay account 1shivaeye.

I saw 2 negative feedback in his account the last weeks, both got deleted by eBay.

eBay is working hard on protecting their cheaters..and paypal helps him generate his monthly income.

To sum it up, he shops arround for cheap label watches, must be rare or fake.
Then he opens a paypal case, attach 2 certificates of some friendly watchmaker, paypal send him back the money and he sells on the watches..

So not all watches he receives as a gift for free by paypal are fakes, many are genuine!!

just a short update regarding our friend Durner/3montana et al, chrono24 has informed me they had removed his "trusted seller" status and the most obvious fakes have now been marked "sold" (though most of the rest are questionable at least). chrono24 has informed me they are working on a legal solution to remove the durner superstore from their site and make sure he remains banned, they will keep us posted.

well, it took some time, but chrono24 have finally removed the "Durner Vintage FrankenFake SuperStore"

I have promised to look out for his watches under new names, be it Schmitter, 3montana, naxos or even cuervoysobrinos, aka our dear member cuervo !

Am sure you will join me, some of these like the Dawhora are hard to miss.

 chrono24 !
