For some reason, the Colt 44 reminds me of a watch from Ball. I don't get the superquartz in it either.

Ehh, I like to have one nice quartz watch in my lineup so I could be tempted by a white dial 44 if the price is right.

 Holy sh*t. That is the worst offering I've seen yet. Honestly.

What a totally and utterly anonymous looking thing that is. It could be by just about any micro-brand on the planet.... or maybe Citizen or even one of the cheaper Seiko models..... or some other sub-TAG brand perhaps. There's nothing that says "Breitling" about it to me : the bezel and the bracelet are not remotely Breitling-like....... hell, even the dial logo is missing! No wings, and not even the historic "B". And all quartz??!? Why????

I know we keep saying it, but just when I think the designs can't get any worse, we end up with this. I have zero enthusiasm for Breitling these days, and that saddens me.

I completely missed that. It's not a Pro II bracelet and from the pics it appears the end link is similar to an Ocean Classic end link.

Interesting design but not to my taste. They just don't look like Breitlings IMO. All these changes are really causing confusion with this brand. Is Breitling trying to be everything to everyone?

The numbers look like Tag. I don't get it. They'd better not mess up the Navitimer.

Is anyone really surprised that these suck? I mean, everything else has been horrendous so why should the Colt line be any different.

The bracelet is a professional II bracelet, but You are right, the endlinks are terrible.

Is it? In the pictures it looks like it has straight cut links to me, not the usual diagonal "slash" cut links of the Pro II......

It's a flammin' hideous looking watch! Comedy.

Hello,
(same answer from anatoher post here about the "new 44mm Colt watch, saying the same thing that the Breittling watch book pictures given here by Alien

Some news from another forum and from a Switzerland Authorized Dealer.

The new will have a diameter of 44 mm, the prices are not yet known.
There will be more riders, the bezel is really different.

In short, the big problem for the Breitling brand is very hesitant to launch a new Colt, because of the price.
It is indeed Impet for the brand to produce Swiss-made and it was impossible to do that costs just removed from the collection.
However, aware of the increase in the average price of their range, the brand leaders have resolved to re-propose the Colt, but the price will inevitably be higher.

Hope it will help.

Best regards,

Challenger_fr

I wouldn't have thought messing up the Navi is a danger, but you never know. What I am having trouble grasping is how a company can simultaneously put out a watch like the Navi 01 - which not only perfectly preserves the heritage of the model, but actually (arguably) improves upon its design - and completely screw up almost every other model in its catalog, to varying degrees. Like Tim, I've never really been a fan of the Colt line anyway, so I'm not too broken up over this. However, it might be the most obvious indication yet of just how messed up Breitling's vision is for its own future.

These Colts are really ugly... no offense of course.
The three possible future models that could be interesting for me:

1. Chronomat B01 41 mm if it comes with day-date option and maybe fly-back feature.
2. The previous 42 mm CSO if comes (maybe to Japan...) with a blackeye-blue dial.
3. The new 44 mm CSO if it gets the day-date option, and a new bezel, at least a lume dot at 60, better ceramic or even better sapphire bezel.

With all the others I'm done. Design, size and features simply no-go for me. I'm happy with my CSO, Chrono Cockpit (blue dials) and both color combo Grand Premiers that I could save right in time and personalize to fit my own taste.

Best, Robert
