I cant decide if the luminescence of my SA  is working as it should.........
If i glance at the dial in the dark it gives no response until i shine a torch directly into the dial.
is this normal or have i been behaving like an absolute nupty.......i have only had the SA a week and am still coming to grips with it.............. Joe

Welcome aboard.

There are quite a few threads on lume on here, but in a nut-shell Breitling lume is a long way from being the best in the industry and the SA has proportionately a small amount compared to the size of teh watch and indeed some other Breitlings. You probably just need to charge the lume up a bit more.

Many thanks Driver but im in the old catch 22 senario.........brand new and still in warranty.
Does it mean then if i want luminence i have to charge it with a torch or some bright light every time im going to use it..........one of my Seiko Pilot ones comes on well just by charging up on normal lighting ........but the difference between watches as a whole is without equal ...the SA is so far the better piece...........maybe im not giving it enough time for me to sort it out..........some watch this though ive been waiting since i was 18 for one... :lingsrock:

As Driver8 says the SA luminescence isn't very good - the longer you charge it for the brighter it will shine, but it's not going to be like your Seiko.

:yeahthat Seiko use a different lume compound called Lumibrite and it wipes the floor with Superluminova when it comes to brightness.
