Is this a real or a replica folding clasp. I bought a watch here with the same clasp which my watchmaker identified as a clear fake.

Its the same guy who sold me a 2010 watch with a 2017 service...I received a 2002 watch with a fake service paper from 2016 and a fake strap with a fake folding clasp. The watch is undergoing repair and should be ready on Friday. Total repair cost...650€!

Almost impossible to tell these days because manufacturing fakes of such small and simple pieces has improved markedly, and it is not helped because Breitling (and other manufacturers) regularly change the style and contractors who make them.

That looks like a stamped leather strap to me...

This strap is fake and I would guess that the clasp would be also.

Stitching is very poor.

Don't mean to pile on but imho both the strap and clasp are fake. The strap is wrong because Breitling does not connect the stiching on the two sides of the strap as this one has, the clasp is poorly made, look at how off centered the logo is, the tip of the anchor nearly touches the edge! The seller misrepresented the watch, and includes poor fakes for a strap and clasp, I would be paying him a visit!

I can confirm both the strap and the clasp are fake, because my watch was delivered with the same strap and clasp...as for the seller, I exchanged again multiple mails where I ventilated my anger but he is so slippery like a snake and is a master in avoiding the sensitive subjects. He knows very well what he sells but will not comment on it.
He explained for example that his watchmaker has 27 years of experience...well he clearly fucked up on my watch seen the disaster inside. To get my watch sorted out I will pay 650€ for a rebuild. But then again, as I said, he knows very well what he is selling and for him it was just to expensive to repair my watch and make a profit out of it so instead he polished it and added a new fake strap and clasp to it. Delivered it with fake paperwork etc.
I reported him at Chrono 24 but its clear they are not really bothered. I did reported him again and again Chrono 24 does not care. The only thing I can do is make you all aware of this seller.

I was tempted to buy myself a cheap ticket and fly to Hamburg - been there enough times as I worked at the airport for a while and pay him a visit but knowing myself I will get myself in serious trouble...then again, nobody forced me to buy the watch from him and he even offered me the opportunity to return it and reimburse me minus a "inspection and cleaning fee" of 300€. I hesitated to long and wanted to be sure that I bought a real Breitling and not a fake. It allowed my emotions to dominate common sense.

I have not digested it yet...and now that I seen that this crook is just continuing selling fake straps with worn out watches, well it brought it all back up. He has not even changed his text, again its a 2010 watch with a 2017 revision. Although this time he does not offer "paperwork".
I will report his sorry ar** as he is clearly violating the law against selling fake stuff.
