Post subject:  Bretiling leather strap thickness question

I purchased a Breitling leather strap (cowhide) online and it seems to be relatively thin. I was expecting a thicker strap.
The thickness of the side of the strap, next to the pin, is 3mm. The full thickness from top to botton is 5mm. This is a 22-20 strap size. I wonder if this is a genuine Breitling strap. Any help is appreciated. Here are some photos:

My gut feeling is real. The 'Manufacture en Suisse' used to be an copperplate font but may have changed recently

Are wider straps thicker? Or are Croc straps thicker than cowhide straps?

I've noticed the Bentley croc/cow straps carried a lil thicker edge to them over a navitimer series.

I have many of the calf and the croc, the crocs are definitely thicker and stiffer. Looks ok to me but I'm no expert

Thank you. What I am learning is that I need a croc strap!

Here's a side pic of a 24/20 croc, the thickness near lugs is 7.5mm thick, I don't have a calf near me at the moment Image

Thank you. Yes, this is the thickness I had in mind when I ordered mine but the one I got is much too thin for my taste. I also have an Avenger like yours, or one of yours, seeing from the impressive list of the watches your own.

Watch Nut: if you have time to photograph a cowhide strap I'd love to see it to compare with your croc strap.

Much appreciated.

THank you. Those are very nice. What width are they? Mine was a 22-20. Are these the same or wider?

They are all 24/20 all my breitlings take that size which is nice

Thank you for posting these photographs.

I wonder if the difference in thickness is due to the difference in size, 24/20 being much thicker than 22-20.

Not sure on that, all my straps are 2+ years old, maybe they are making them thinner now.
