Am looking to buy a push button clasp for an ocean racer, happy to buy with or without the rubber part. Lots on ebay in the UK, any tips on how to spot a fake one to avoid? |

Very difficult. The push buttons protrude a little more, & the bevel as it blends into its' closed position is also larger. The angle of the parallel bar part where it comes out from the button area is not as acute as genuine. I own both, & without a side by side comparison is practically indistinguishable. |

Thank you for the detailed reply. As i will never have them side by side to check i think i will have to bite the bullet and buy from an authorised dealer. Small saving on price from ebay isnt worth the risk. Thanks again. |
