Post subject:  Whats the difference between a reproduction and a fake?
JUST JOINED THE GROUP AND WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT A REPRODUCTION IS A FAKE WATCH WITH MAKER NAME BUT REPRODUCED BY A OFF THE WALL COMPANY AND A FAKE WATCH IS ONE THAT IS USING A KNOWN MAKER'S NAME BUT THE WATCH IS NOT A REPRODUCTION OF A WATCH MADE BY SAID COMPANY. IS THAT CORRECT? NOT SURE IF I PHASED THIS QUESTION CORRECTLY BUT ANY INFO WOULD HELP. THE REASON IM ASKING IS I HAVE AN A25082FAKE BRITLING AUTOMATIC WITH TOURBILLION AND MOONFAZE . WOULD IT BE CONSIDERED A FAKE OR A REPRDUCTION?

It's a fake. Anything produced that pretends to be something it isn't is a fake. Some manufacturers make 'homage' models that follow the design of well known pieces but these are badged under their own name and are not intended to fool anyone into thinking they are buying something they aren't.

Not only a fake, a very cheap and nasty fake as are all the others with a (fake) tourbillon. And there really is NO NEED TO SHOUT.

OK. I guess I will just keep waring it and getting compliments and faking people out. Never been refered to as cheap and nasty until now. Thanks. Sorry didn't mean to SHOUT.
I see the sticklers rule here with a NASTY attitude toward those that are not quit informed as they are. But that's OK life goes on with or with out you. Just-sayn :bow: .
