I'll start with the two most concerning first. The weight not matching the 122.5g specified on this site

My cheap chinese micro scale was within .1 grams of a jeweler's professional one that looked anything but made in china.

And the looks authentic to the untrained eye paperwork from italy from a place that I can't find any info on in google, though they might have changed names or gone out of business in the last 8 years. Or it could be a fake warranty card. Original owner and I are in USA.

Is it common for a USA online retailer to get genuine watches from european dealers? Will Breitling USA service it?

I was concerned that the 1 digits in the date window are inconsistent. The 1 in both 1 and 11 have angles at the top. 12 through 19 as well as 10, 21 and 31 are just straight lines but I do notice they are actually like capital I with tiny horizontals on top and bottom. I only noticed this under digital zoom with my phone camera.

All the "is my steelfish a fake" pictures in the article on this site make me think it is real.

Case. The script B is in the right place, at first I thought no markings on the case which was a bad sign, but at the 6H position I cleaned it up and found "5006 B5" stamped in there very small. The pic is 4x digital zoom on my phone camera.

More dial details. Also the pro 2 bracelet is correctly stamped 134A at both ends, and one link on both the 12H and 6H positions are both stamped "S 0407" which I didn't get a picture of. I can tomorrow if necessary. The wing logo on the clasp does not show through on the other side, passing this genuine test.

Well despite you somehow managing to avoid showing the one dial element that would identify whether the watch was real or fake (the length of the tail on the s of superocean), it looks perfectly correct to me. A US based grey market dealer will have sourced watches from anywhere they could get them and Europe isn't unusual, as long as the serial number is intact you will have no issue getting it serviced.

Here's a shot of the whole dial. The S has a slight curve.

The weight isn't an issue? Does the model page need an update?

Thanks very much for helping out a newbie

Weight not a problem? Could they have varied by 4-5 percent? Thanks.

No idea, but the watch is real - trust me!

Looks real, but another tell is to remove a bezel screw using a screwdriver. On the fakes the bezel screws are not threaded. Just pressed in, and won't back out using a screwdriver.
