I have never seen one that says Swiss made on the face at 6 o'clock ? Or with markers not filled ? Can you link to any other picture like this ?

I've not seen it either - just solid batons and arabic versions, but there are no good fakes of this model.

:welcome:

How very strange!

As Roff says, there are no passable replicas of the Aerospace so I've no doubts that it's genuine but I've never seen a dial like this and can't find any others. Judging by the hands and dial, it looks to be the Aerospace Advantage but the batons are not lumed whereas the numbers are, the opposite of the normal dial. I've not seen one with Swiss Made either.

The paperwork shows it was first registered in 2009 but this model, was sold 2006/07 so it either sat in a shop for a long time or the paperwork was filled in later.

If you're thinking of buying, get in touch with Parkers who are a reputable seller and enquire as to the history of this specific watch.

I'd be very interested in knowing what they say.

Thanks for the welcome.

I'm an owner and a big fan of the aerospace range across it's history and it's interesting to see some of the variations from catalogue models. It must take fair effort to tool up a dial like this rather than the normal applied metal numerals ? Also interesting that the Swiss made on earlier and current aerospace is always on the face, not the edge.

I've attached a picture to the thread so it can be referenced beyond the auction. Is it possible for a mod to move this thread as it clearly genuine and a special variation and may be of interest for future reference in a different sub forum.
