You guys are doing great job here on identifying fakes and discussing them here. But I see one major flaw with this section - very few photos of actual fakes are preserved here for future reference.

Most of these fakes are from eBay listings and soon after you report fakes to eBay - they take down the listing and all we have left with are bunch links to dead listings. Which is quite useless if one needs to reference some of the past fakes.

Would it be better if we somehow find the way to preserve the pictures and descriptions?

Just a suggestion :)

Members have been asked multiple times to post pictures when they put links to eBay auctions, but many don't do it.

The regular reporters tried for a while to put photos for the ones that were missed but it becomes a huge task to have to do it for everyone.

All it really needs is for the person who first posts an item to upload a photo from the auction.

That seems like something that could be automated...

If there was some sort of mod to add to phpbb so that we could add a photo as an attachment from a URL rather than from our hard drives it would make it easier to add the photos.

Easiest way on ebay page click enlarge photo, right click on photo, save as to desktop,
click browse on this page, find file on desktop click once then click open once, then click Add the file next to browse on this page, click submit on this page and job done I think thats it but if not someone will correct me
