Forgot to mention another positive thing is that he has been a member quite a while.

Usually the crooks never have an account that old because they mess them up. I think this one is going to work out for you. :lingsrock:

Thanks for the clarification, I kept looking at the luminous hour indicators, which are shortened. I finally understand now - funny how the fakers can make everything practically perfect, and mess up on something like that. i guess it is only a matter of time before they lengthen the ticks a bit :( anyone seen a fake with the proper ticks?

I appreciate the positive thoughts, but I think it is a lost cause. The tracking number is still not showing up, and no answer when I called yesterday. I'll try again today.

I've never seen a Blackbird exposed as being fake and not have the shortened ticks.

If I were you I would get on the phone to Paypal and tell them your concern, and see what they can do. A hold on the money could be what saves you, if you indeed need saving.

PS... If it's UPS tracking, try the number on the USPS site, and vice-versa. I've seen it happen before where the seller said one when he meant the other. Dumb, but it can happen.

Thanks to everyone for your valuable help!

I recieved the package yesterday, and all looks good. Markings are correct, with boxes and papers. Pretty close to new condition with just a couple hairlines from previous link removal, and maybe a couple of wearings. I am in the process of testing it for timekeeping, and then for power reserve. It was a nice surprise that my fears were not confirmed - I also did not pre-emptively file a claim as I decided to give the benefit of the doubt for just a day more (the tracking is still not showing up).

Thanks again to all!

You should file a chargeback with your credit card company. If you paid with Amex it would be very easy.

That is good news. Even in spite of the lack of tracking, between the PP hold, authentic watch in the pictures, and fact the seller had been registered since 2003, I believed there was a good shot it would show up. That said, there's no denying that a previous auction such as the one in this case would certainly raise some questions about any seller... but all that is in the past now.

I think what you paid is a good deal for that watch. I love mine!

Oh give them time - just give them time.

enjoying the watch today... if I had any photo skills, I'd take some and put them up. Anybody know if there is a website to register the watch by serial number with Breitling?

There isn't. As a second owner you won't be able to register it (and you don't need to).

They won't, it's done on purpose.

That's interesting, can you explain why.

If the rep too close to original, Breitling would push hard on them.
Main purpose of reps is that people who can't afford the original have something close, not for scamming people.
These small details are hard to notice by average Joe and the watch is still very near to original.
