What do your guys think of this Rolex, and Rolex in general? Somewhere I heard that Rolexs' standard for their watches is 1sec+/- per day. Is this true, is seems really good for an automatic watch? I have never seen this one in person, but I immagine it would look really good. I think it retails at $8700, and it is made out of steel and everose gold. So tell me, what do you guys think? http://www.rolex.com/en/index.jsp#/en/c ... 6201-0020/ |

well honestly...rolexs are pretty small...yeah its a hell of a brand and its known more..but in my opinion if you like navitimers you might not really really like the rolex!!!! rolex is just a different style and let me tell you the breitling navitimer, chronomat, super avenger and superocean heritage 46 are prettier than ANY rolex!!!!! my dad has 2 rolexes the milgauss and ss and gold submariner...and my uncle has a gmt and a presidential and to be honest my two breitlings are prettier than all 4 rolexes..no competition...theyre just too small and they really have no pop!!!! |

Is this true, is seems really good for an automatic watch? The Rolex DJ is the quintessential dress watch, IMO. I recently acquired my DJ a few weeks ago and absolutely love it. I purchased mine for dress watch duty to wear under dress shirts and suits so the smaller 36mm size is perfect. I opted for the classic TT SS/18kt yellow gold with fluted bezel, jubilee bracelet and champagne dial with romans. Besides being just an absolutely gorgeous and classy watch, it keeps great time and is really durable. One tip-- the jubilee bracelet is more formal IMO than the oyster but it hides scratches much better than the oyster. The newer jubilee has a hidden clasp which is also really cool. The model you are looking at with the oyster bracelet and smooth bezel is very nice and a much sportier than mine. If you are thinking about a datejust for a dress watch, you will not be disappointed, IMO. I think everyone should own one for a dress watch. Very reputable grey dealer, well known on rolexforums.com and he can get you that exact model for less than $6,000 USD new. He just sold one to another forum member in the "for sale" section. |
