I often come across quite a couple of brands who claim their pieces in-house. Anyone who can provide a list of brands offering in-house pieces? The ones that I know so far are:

1)Rolex
2)Breitling
3)Panerai
4)Omega
5)Patek Philippe
6)Piaget

Those that I think are offering:

-Breguet
-VC
-Ulysse Nardin
-A Lange & Sohne
-Richard Mille
-Hublot
-Frank Muller

Those that I am unsure:

-Tag Heuer
-Cartier
-Hermes
-Raymond Well
-Baume & Mercier
-Chanel
-LV
-Bvlgari

If there are too many brands offering in-house maybe it would be good to provide a list of luxury brands who don't. Thanks for the help.

Thks... Yu happen to know the rest that I am unsure about? I am curious about Tag Heuer though because they claim to have their own in-house but not sure if it really is.

I think Longines and EBEL also are on the list of those who do, or at least did.

This question has come up on other forums. Some links:

there are all sorts of small watch companies that make in house pieces, just not ONLY in house pieces.

1)Rolex
2)Breitling
3)Panerai
4)Omega
5)Patek Philippe
6)Piaget

Those that I think are offering:

-Breguet YES
-VC OF COURSE
-Ulysse Nardin LOTS
-A Lange & Sohne DUH
-Richard Mille SOME, BUT MOST ARE MADE BY PARMIAGANI
-Hublot YES SOME

-Tag Heuer YES
-Cartier YES
-Hermes I THINK ONE
-Raymond Well PROBBLY NOT
-Baume & Mercier DONT THINK SO
-Chanel YES
-LV YES
-Bvlgari YES

then the just off the top of my head without even thinking, de buthene, mb&f,iwc, jlc, parmigani, corum, urwerk, arnold and son, fp journe, ghlashutte, claret, mct, armin strom, i mean i can go on and on

yes, some of the independents clearly do make inhouse movements (or at least do adaptions), but you'd be hard pressed to find 3 dozen, far from the hundreds you mention, I'm afraid ;)

believe me when you count small independants its 100, there are almost 3 dozen in this thread and im not even trying yet

my point is its a silly question, almost nobody makes all of their own parts, there are lots of case and dial companies out there. take balancewheels and springs for example. do you know how many companies actually manufacture balance wheels and springs? in ALL of switzerland, there are 3. THATS IT

OK, I'll play that silly game.

The three Swiss balance spring producers (and before any one says Lange & Songe, they're German):

Swatch Group
Rolex
Minerva
Roger Dubuis
Moser
Vaucher
Bovet
Technotime (although physical manufacturing occurs in France)
Astral

Yep, three.
