On a break from Christmas shopping I popped into a large Rolex AD to try on a SS Daytona.

"We'll Sir, there is a 10 year waiting list for a SS Daytona"

"Here's a TT one, it's 14k Sir"

Well how much are the SS ones I ask?

"O, about 6.5k I would guess" :nana:

I just love some sales assistants!

I guess the sales person took the "build the hype" mentality too far. Just for kicks, you should pick one up on one of the other forums, go to him the next day and tell him you're obviously well-connected. :mrgreen:

I love the alleged waiting lists for Rolexes that some AD's love to perpetuate. I remember the alleged 3 to 5 year wait for an LV Sub many years ago....... and as soon as I'd said I've have one and settled down for a few years wait, one miraculously turned up at my AD within a month. Funny that.....
