Guys I would like your input on the use of watchwinders. I have a few automatic movements and I wind them all ocasionally and let them run. I was told that this was sufficent to keep them excersized, for lack of a better word. I would like to hear you opionions. I haven't been a member of this fourm for very long but I love to collect watches. I have heard pros and cons on the watch winder issue. What do you think?

If you manually wind them you run the risk of wearing the crown on the very long run. Also its a pain.

If you dont wind at all you might have the oils stiffen up.

Personally I reckon it's definitely worth having one.

I wouldn't see a con in owning a winder.

If you own more than two watches, it's tough to keep them wound wearing one every other day.

Nothing beats being able to open the closet selecting the appropriate watch from the winder and away you go.
