OK, I posted a thread a while back when I was considering picking up a new Chronofighter GMT, pricing at my local AD really sucked, pricing from Govberg’s is much more reasonable :D , 57% less to be exact.

Still can’t figure this one out, I suspect the AD here in Vancouver is charging much, much more than retail trying to take advantage of the fact that hey are the only AD within 5000km, bunch of donkeys.

Anyways, I have narrowed it down to the green or the bordeaux, they also come in blue but I already have a blue dial SOSF so that one is out.

I am leaning towards the bordeaux, problem is I have seen the green in person at the local AD but have not seen the bordeaux (Phili is a little far for a road-trip) what do you guys think? (focusing on the colour here, not the trigger mechanism :) )

its not that green is bad, its THAT green that is the problem

I really like the green, but I think it's a tiny bit too feminine a colour for such an otherwise masculine watch. The red is also far more subtle and unobtrusive, so that's probably a better bet.

I'm not a big fan of the Graham's but looking closely at that I would be inclined to go for the red!

Haha, well put Roff, thanks for all the input guys, I think I am going to go with the red as well, it would just be nice if I could see it before hand though. On the other hand, it's going to make opening up that box all the more exciting :D

@Roff, do you think there will be an issue with the PVD coating on the trigger (I assume it's not DLC like Breitling use)? I was thinking that since it's on the left side of the watch it should hold up pretty good and not really be subjected to any potential dings?

If you're wearing it for fashion, I'd say red. If you're actually using it for function as a dive watch or in the water, I'd say green.

In all honesty, I like Grahams, but this model isn't my cup of tea.

My vote is the red as well.

I was not too familiar with the Graham line, but this thread peaked my interest so I strolled over to their website to check out their offerings. They have some models I find unique and worthy of adding to my list of "Want to collect". Initially I wasn't too fond of the trigger system, but it's one of those things that the more ya look at it the more it kinda grows on ya....kind of like Panerai....well some folks anyhow... :poke: Roff :lol: . Below are some of the models I find of interest.

And one that has a different take on the trigger along with some awesome features such as; 46 mm steel with black PVD case, Steel with black PVD bezel, Power Reserve indicator, rattrapante function, and Smoked see-through sapphire crystal case back with limited edition serial number engraving. Probably out of my price point league, but worthy of at least :drool: over.

Over time the PVD will wear - it's the nature of the beast. PVD has improved from a few years ago when it peeled off in strips, but it's not going to be as resilient as DLC, even without dings.
