To all luxary watch fanatics out there...how would you rate Longines among the other luxury watches. i am really considering the moonphase of the master collection, especially the one with the brown leather strap.

any ideas or thoughts about that?

Alien I really like Longines. I love the watch you described in a rose gold version. Their "barley corn" dials are very stunning. I would rate them below the likes of Breitling, Rolex and Omega. But they are very good watches with some wonderful designs and a strong history. If you do decide to go for it, you wont be disappointed, and you will get plenty of compliments on it.

Its a really nice watch, although it has not the robustness and perfection of a Breitling. The pricing is very competitive on the market and they are selling quite a lot of watches.

Yes Alien, that is the exact point, the relatively lower price gives me the impression that it is of lower quality. so i think to myself if i will invest $2,400 on a longines master collection why not to pay a bit more and get a better quality.

actually i like the looks alot but i still need some assurance on the reliability. hey ... by the way, is it rated as a certified chronometer (COSC)?
