To me this is the most stricking model patek ever made, relatively large at 43MM, balanced dial, very usefull feature set, and unbelievable workmanship!!!

Nautilus Annual Calendar Ref. 5726

What is an annual calendar? Many watches display the date, month and date on their dial. But since some months have only thirty, twenty-nine of twenty-eight days, you need to adjust the date at least five time per year. A annual calendar is a mechanism that automatically takes into account the varying number of days in each month so that the watch displays the correct date each month without the need of adjustment. A annual calendar watch will only need correction on March 1, on non-leap years.

I agree that it's a very useful complication - makes life a lot easier on short months. I'm not a big fan of the Nautilus case, but I do think that the dial is very clean - it's a very readable way of showing the calendar and moonphase.

Beautiful example of Patek at it's finest.

Yes, not for me though.

While I totally respect PP for their watch-making, I'm just not a massive fan of their styling, BUT if I was going to have one, this would be it. It's a good size for a Patek, and even though it's got the semi-perpetual calendar it's still got a nice clean dial.

Nice find Altair - when's it going to suddenly appear in your collection? :poke: These things have a habit of doing that!

I like it Altair but it's not my favourite Patek (not that that matters  ). Do you have it already? Pics and a review please including wrist shot

We all have to disagree on something. 8)

I'm a big fan of almost all the watches in your collection, Altair, but the Nautilus does nothing for me.

Altair --

That Nautilus is a beauty. It's one of the few Pateks that would look reasonably normal on my massive wrist. But the price! Oy!! But if you can swing it, fantastic. :)

I love the Nautilus just as much as Gerald Genta's other spectacular creation of the same time - AP Royal Oak. Were money not an object I would have the RG white dial RO chrono on brown croco and and the Nautilus above.
