Damn its amazing how expensive and how cheap property can be! 90 Acres!??!? Geez... I doubt there is even 90 acres out here to buy! Property's not ridiculous here.. my house is worth about $550,000 and its 2285 sq feet, on a fairly small peice of land. Regular lot with front and backyard kind of deal.

The land really is cheap too - only 150km north of Toronto, but the land itself is ridiculous - about 75 acres are classed as conservation land so we get a tax break on it. As a result it's assessed separately on the tax bill - official valuation works out at less than $2,000 an acre!!

Of course farmland is more, and varies a lot depending on quality, but sounds like we have better value than you admin - 3,250 square feet, with the land and views for about 25km across Georgian Bay - worth about $650K

No wonder it takes you so long to get to work in Downtown!!

I have a peakaboo view of the water, i'm about 4 blocks from it. My girlfriend's house is about 2-3 blocks away, and they have a SPECTACULAR view of the water and winchelsea islands - full view of the setting sun, and their house is probably worth around $750K and about the same size.

Yeah the commute is all that makes our place affordable. Obviously the time has to be factored in, but hoping that I can get to the point where the company can support me without my full time involvement and then can really enjoy life a little more.

So if anyone wants a truly remarkable management consulting firm, you know how to reach me
