I wear my water resistant pieces while swimming, diving, or any type of watersport.

The B-Ling is on my wrist in the airplane, or other non water related scenario.

I agree with Brian.

If the watch I'm wearing is water resistant (ie at least 100M) it stays on when I'm in the water. If I'm diving, then I wear a piece that's at least 1000M proof.

Apart from that, the watch stays on for all activities in normal temperature - not in the sauna or similar. I remove my watch before I get some sleep, but for other bedroom (or elsewhere) activities it stays on.

For hot tubs, saunas and crazy sports.....throw on a Oris.....they take a true beating and then you still have the LINGS for normal things like swimming, dinner and every day kind of stuff............after Breitling I really like Oris, you can't go wrong.

Agreed - incredible value for money. The pilot watches would be a lot more attractive to me if they didn't have that stupid great knob on them though. A colleague of mine asked me to introduce him to my AD when I next go in - he has his eyes on an Atelier - a Moonphase watch for around $1,000 - you just can't go wrong.

I second Roff's comments there. Oris are excellent value, and they have some pretty interesting designs. A friend of mine owns an Oris amongst other watches and he loves it. Personally I've always liked the Der Meistertaucher regulator divers watch. And their Carlos Costa SE dive watches are superb too. And best of all they don't have a single quartz model in their entire range!

I wouldnt be worried about chlorine, as the gaskets Breitling uses are made of Viton rubber which is nearly imprevious to other more corrosive chemicals, let alone chlorine used in swimming pools.

I too take mine off for vigorous activity or heavy manual labour but only when I remember. Caught myself laying a new floor with a nailer and a large 4lb mallet - swinging it hard and fast a couple of inches away from my wrist - took the watch off very swiftly after that!

aeromansoor has it right:
I don't wear a watch to bed (sleeping) but equally wouldn’t wear one when in bed otherwise anyway. The admiring glances and longing looks could be misinterpreted and that would never do!
