His net worth stems from the time he spent as the CEO for Goldman Sachs. He choose to take his bonus in company stock. I would have gone the liquid cash route personally, but then no one is knocking on my door to become CEO of one of the worlds largest financial groups.

Since IPO (when Hank was CEO of GS) the stock has gone up ca. 140% and that's based on the current depressed value of GS. I think he chose well :wink:
