The big birthday is next week and I ended up going with the grey dial Seamaster. The dial just looks amazing in person and I can't wait to get it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's here next week since they need to bring it in from another store. I'll just post the same pic as before from the boutique when I tried it on for now and hopefully update once it arrives.

Here are a couple of shots from the weekend. This arrived on Saturday and it's been on my wrist ever since. The watch is extremely comfortable and the quick adjustment feature on the bracelet has come in handy on these hot humid days. I've got an Omega nato strap coming as well this weekend which will be nice to have but the bracelet has been very comfortable overall.

I have always been a fan of Omega watches but the Speedmaster eats the cake. I bought mine a while back and it is one of my favorite.

In a perfect world, I’d own both but the Seamaster has quickly become my favorite watch. I could live with that and my Submariner. I’ve already picked up the rubber strap and 3 Omega Natos as well to switch things up. I know some people aren’t huge fans of the lack of a taper in the bracelet but I don’t really notice it.

A great solution for people who like the Seamaster on bracelet but don't like the original - I'm in that camp, not chiefly because of the lack of taper but because of the lack of adjustability (it's unwearable for me) - is the new Forstner 1450. I've picked one up and it's remarkable value for money (see review below):
