Loving that band!!

The Patravi TravelTec FourX is the newest version of the Patravi collection by Carl F. Bucherer. The coolest function of this watch is the ability to show three time zones simultaneously. The third time zone can be set using a single push-button mechanism for which a patent is pending. The watch uses an exotic blend of palladium, titanium, ceramics and rubber. The case is nicely sized at 46.6 mm in diameter and 15.5 mm thick. The movement is an automatic Caliber 1901.1 with 39 jewels and a 42 hour power reserve. What really makes this watch so special and distinguishes it from other TravelTec models, is the skeleton dial. It even has a small window inlaid in the side of the watch that allows you to view the TravelTec mechanism. Overall I am very impressed with the look and function of this model, and I cannot wait to see it in person.

If it turns out to be priced in that range, then I'd say it would be very good value. Hope it is! Fingers crossed.

I agree, i have no clue what so ever about the price, but it gives the impression that it might be more expensive than that.

Wow, I guess in the minority here but that does not strike me at all. I kind of like the overall first glance, but the dial just looks cluttered, I think because of the third time zone and the date wheel you can see most of the way around because of the skeleton. It's certainly a great tool watch, but not one Iwould ever use. But that's what so great about watches, they "speak" to some people and not others!

Good luck on finding one at a reasonable price. I understand the excitement of moving something in to your top five.

P.S. I reserve the right to come back in 6 months and declare this one of my favorite watches ;) I know I did that with the Blackbird.

You're not alone, MoreCowbell. To me it looks clever but way too cluttered. I guess it's fine unless you want to know the time at a glance!?!

That doesn't do much for me....Sort of like certain models of Zenith.

According to the Watch Time 08 Buyers Guide, the Partavi TravelTec GMT is priced at US $10,900

http://www.patravi-traveltec-gmt.com/en/models/details/watchlist/4.html

so my guess is that the FourX model is most likely more than that.

I personally love the piece, I guess it "talks" to me :)

Guy's,

I have the Bucherer catalog they sent me a few months ago with the price list. The suggested retail on the stainless Patravi Traveltech GMT with the Steel bracelet is $10,900 USD. I like the Rose Gold model too which has a suggested retail of $39,900 USD with a SICK leather band. With the PROPER bracelet the Rose Gold one would be about $50,000 based on the price with a strap. Also, the model below is the one you want not that thing with all of the Black all over it, a non steel band where a bracelet should be and the black bezel, that's for misguided guy's that wear SA's on RUBBER straps.
