just a quick thumbsup, easy to use - great app.
uses SNTP servers for exact timing and watch pictures, quite similar to how COSC accuracy testing is done.

you add a "timeline", i.e. a watch you want to test, give it a name, grab a pic of your watch, specify dial layout (supports subdial running seconds for chronographs), define hands center & function,

wait for (suggested, not a must) at least 24 hours, go through the pic/define process again, get the average accuracy; you can, of course continue as long as you want, to test accuracy in different positions etc.

nice to know my 1966 TopTime "Thunderball" has an accuracy of 4.1 seconds per day ;)

well worth the $/€ 4.99

I'm actually afraid to download & use it... I'm perfectly happy with all of my watches, and don't want to discover any reason to love any one (or more) of them any less! I pull out my iPhone when I need precise time. Sad ain't it...

Pretty slick thanks.. I wanted to check the accuracy but didn't really have the patience to do it manually. Takes the guess work out of it! Now to figure out what the out come means!! I'm guessing my B2 is fairly accurate?

Tried this app. on my BB. In a 7 day manual test against the computer digital clock it came in at an average of +7 sec/day (+49 sec over 7 days).

Set it up on Twixt for 24 hrs., came in at -56min./day ???? something is messed up or I didn't get it set up correctly. The manual time test over this same 24 hrs. came in at +7 sec just as I would expect.

I am trying it again with new photos. Any ideas where I messed up?

Just a suggestion don't use the computer clock. You need to do it against an atomic clock like time.gov. The computer clock is never as accurate.

Over 24 hrs. computer clock is just fine, matches with my other quartz pieces.

Took the plunge & purchased the app. Gotta say it's a cool idea but with a very poor execution.

Having used the app for a few days, I found the app's camera functionality to be very sluggish (when compared to the natve iPhone 4S camera app). I get lots & lots of "unable to verify time" & "hands not synchronized" errors despite clear, sharp, heads-on pictures.

After the first few pictures, I was expecting the app to have been trained/caliberated to that watch & would automatically detect the time for subsequent snapshots of the same watch. NOT the case. The picture taking is actually more of a gimmick, since I still need to identify the centre, 12 o'clock & hands position every single time (whenever the app would let me that is).

If I still need to enter the time manually each & everytime, the app should have a manual button to let me enter the time in 10:08:30 format instead.

Definitely NOT ready for prime time imho.
