Awesome! great watches!!!

Good pics too, that Macro mode? Looks like you got a cam with 10+ MP if thats a crop or you got a zoom lens, what cam did you get? That Canon?

Just need a bit better lighting and those will be GREAT pics.

I really need a zoom lens, and maybe a 10+ mp lens. Then I can take photos of my neighbor's bee's genitals.

altair, can you believe that is from a simple ultracompact point and shoot?? its the new sony t2, which has macro and ultra macro settings. i've decided to put off getting the canon dslr until after the holidays since i needed something small i could take to shanghai. i took those shots in a room with just the normal lights on, which make them even more impressive, in my view. i'm going to fool around with some kind of light box setup later. after that, i'm going to pick up a canon xti (400) with a decent macro lens and compare.

Well that is impressive indeed!!

I would skip the Cannon and get a Nikon D40x if I were you, more bang for your buck!

Very impressed by the Sony T2!!!!!

any reason you prefer the nikon d40 to the canon rebel xti?

I find Nikon's censor to be better, and their auto algorithms are much better. The only downside is the average quality stock lens. Which is why I preffer getting the body only for 550 and spending a bit more for a great quality lens, that would make a huge improvement. Cannon's stock lens are decent but not that much better so it's always Nikon for me.

haha thanks, yes i finally got a camera, so i decided to snap of a few pics of the motors t before it has to go back to the hospital because of another mystery ailment (knock on wood, i hope i'm not testing fate here).
