Edit: Even though the actual red shade on VF-111 F-4B aircraft was a bright "insignia" red, the photographs in that particular book I used (author Tony Holmes) for the shot Wednesday are somewhat subdued in color, I suspect partially due to the age (30 yrs) of the book. I was flipping through the book and noticed the color anomoly and realized it was close to the reddish brown of my Spanish leather strap. A few minutes later, I had the pic and I'm satisfied with the result...

Hey Ron,

Great pic, makes me need a watch with Roman Numerals. Never had one.

Take care

Hi, Davie. :) My late wife loved the Romans on my blue dial two tone Crosswind because they reminded her of her grandparents "Grandfather" clock in the hallway of their house. I sold that watch and its matching UTC module long before she passed and found this black dial piece a couple of years after that. I pulled the trigger on it immediately and intend to keep this one to pass on to my granddaughter...
Best,
Ron
