Been trying to help one of my stubborn golfing buddies with his game for the last year or so and yesterday he shot his best round ever and actually tied me with an 80. He shot 39-41 to tie my 41-39 and was sorely disappointed at not breaking the 80. At 71 years old now I've started playing from the senior tees so I'm breaking 80 more often now and because the kids are so much longer I don't feel guilty about it at all. I'm fortunate to be able to play with a lot of low and scratch handicappers which certainly provides the incentive I need to play hard when I can. It is such an incredible blessing to be physically able to play this game and I certainly don't take it for granted at all...  BTW, we're starting to plan a trip to Scotland in the next couple of years and would love to play one of the UK courses with you if the opportunity and location is in the cards...
