My SF was looking a bit tired so two hours, a cape cod cloth, some insulating tape to mask off the crystal and an old sanding block used with great care.

I decided to brush the chapter ring and the points/tips of the rider tabs. Also gave the bracelet a brush too.

Personally I am very happy with the results

It's back looking like a new watch again.

Would a Cape Cod cloth get this ding out?
Hesitant to start polishing what is essentially a new watch...

Cape cods are only for high polished surfaces. Looks to me like a brushed finish. There are many products out there for rebrushing from purchased ones to old wore sanding blocks. Take extreme care as brushing one small area can lead to inconsistencies. Once I brush a part or area I do all of the suface that's brushed, even areas that may not be marked. Try it on an old watch or steel to see finish. One would want to be very confidant tho.

You'll get lots more knocks so IMO Id leave it for a while and ware it.

Either do it then or get a jewer to touch it up.

Thank you.
Not worth chasing imperfections all over the watch.
