designed in the late 1950s, the dial lives on in the latest Montbrillant 01s.
Chronomat ref. 808, Generation 2, manufactured in 1965.

will the other "Best Breitling" survive half a century ?
- though I didn't even nominate this one ...

You're tempting everyone who sees a pic of that gorgeous piece. :bow: BTW, I started college in 1965 which means that two years from now I'll be needing to borrow that 808 for a 50th reunion for my high school graduation. true logarithmic scales on the 808. modern customers are considered too dumb to use these, so they get the "simple" Navitimer sliderule on the Montbrillants ;)

here's a Generation 1 (until 1963 approx.), beaded bezel and dual batons at 12
