designed in the late 1950s, the dial lives on in the latest Montbrillant 01s.
Chronomat ref. 808, Generation 2, manufactured in 1965.

will the other "Best Breitling" survive half a century ?
- though I didn't even nominate this one ...

Tempting Tom?!! Are you kidding, Fred? You're tempting everyone who sees a pic of that gorgeous piece. :bow: BTW, I started college in 1965 which means that two years from now I'll be needing to borrow that 808 for a 50th reunion for my high school graduation. I'll be sure to return it to you before the 100th reunion... :wink:

true logarithmic scales on the 808. modern customers are considered too dumb to use these, so they get the "simple" Navitimer sliderule on the Montbrillants ;)
