Hello everybody,

I am fortunate enough to have found a really good deal on a watch I have been drooling over for quite some time. Im pretty sure Im going to jump on it.

Chronomat 44 GMT onyx black.

While I love the Pilot bracelet it comes with, I am a bit of a strap hound. I haven't really seen any big chunky B01 Chronomats on leather straps.

I was just wondering if anybody has them if they could post some pictures. If anybody has an Onyx black with white or silver sub dials on a brown croc strap that would be perfect. I love the brown croc strap but Im not sure if it would work color combo wise.

Thanks!

Hi Ridly,

Not sure this will completely help you out, but you can build the watch you are describing on the Breitling Wedsite. Its not a realistic shot, but it gives you some feeling of how this one will look. Your version looks pretty good. I was surprised how good the Blackeye Grey dial looks as well.

It's a great watch and I change up the straps at least weekly.

Nice watch, enjoy! A bit over the roof size for me, having only a 6.75" wrist I'll rather go for the 41 mm non-GMT...
I think your 44 mm GMT would look very nice on the Breitling milanese mesh bracelet... I'd be glad to see scans if you try this combo... :)
Best,
Robert

Fantastic pictures! The watch looks a little big for the leather strap in pictures but I checked it out in real life and it looks perfect.

I like that a lot on the brown croc. In actual fact, I really like the 44 GMT anyway! I tried one on the other day it's a very nice piece, and wears a lot better than the 47mm version I tried as soon as they came out.

Driver, I agree. I owned the GMT 47mm for about two weeks and realized it wasnt for me. The Chronomat just looked un-natural to me at that size. The 44mm version has a true GMT brushed bezel with adds to the usefulness IMHO.

I think the black faced chronomat 44 GMT looks good on the brown croc strap. Can anyone post more pictures to give me greater confirmation that it does. Maybe different angles. Is that an official Breitling strap? I really want croc leather for the look but the price is astronomical so realistically would have to buy an unofficial strap any suggestions where? Also, I've never changed a strap before. My chronomat is on the SS bracelet. Is it quick and easy to swap straps over or is it a chore? I worry that if I change my strap, that I could be walking down the street and the watch could come apart on my wrist and hit the floor!!

Search will probably be more successful than posting these questions in a two plus year old gallery thread. There is an entire Accessory section with discussions of a number of aftermarket strap suppliers, the main part of the site has a video for changing bracelets / straps and there are hundreds of threads on the topic.
