Chronograph- I purchased the Concord as a dress watch a few years back. I wasnt too familiar with the company, but loved the look of the watch. After doing some research I found out that they are owned by the Movado Group, and according to them Concord in the same tier as Ebel is in their group. (I think Ebel is alot nicer, but they state Concord is the pinnacle.) This is one of their more basic watches, they have some really breath taking ones that can run into the 50-100K range.

Fun facts about Concord-
Concord watches were presented to US Presidents as the official gift to Heads of State.
In 1979 Concord broke the world record for thinnest analogue watch called the Delirium at 1.98mm Then broke that record the following year by developing the Delirium IV which is under 1mm.
Harry Truman presented Winston Churchill and other Heads of State with Concord watches in wake of Victory in WW II in 1945.

Ok enough history for one day!

Doc Diesel- you have a very good eye my friend! It is in fact the protective plastic still on the side of the case. I never took it off, which is why the case has a somewhat duller look than the side of the bracelet.

Aero- I caught your collection of Pateks before, utterly stunning! Im not at that level yet, but hopefully one day I will be. I too am looking forward to joining the Patek section!

Thanks for the compliments guys!!

Hey Mickey, great collection and fine photographs, if I may say so. I like the range of styles you have chosen. Just out of curiousity, which watch would you choose for the best all around, count on anything time of situation?

T-Man, I would have to say my Breitling SuperOcean. The watch is almost bulletproof, very comfortable, the pro II bracelet is an eye catcher so it dresses up well if needed, its water resistant to 5000ft, and has a very reliable movement powering it. That watch has been with me through thick and thin and it hasnt let me down yet!!

If the SuperOcean was in for service my next would probably be the Omega Seamaster Pro. Smaller than the Super Ocean, but the brushed bracelet is sturdy and doesnt show many scratches other than on the clasp. Its not as comfortable as the Breitling, because Omega has a funky way of sizing bracelets, with half links and no extending holes on the clasps. The Lume of the Omega just cant be beat though!!

Its a Tourneau Safari, I picked it up as a beater, and when I got my Skyland I brought in my Navi for servicing. So I used the Tourneau as a stand-in. I really dont wear it often, because the skeleton hands make it difficult to read the time. (It wound up in this pic, because I found it in a drawer while searching for the cable to upload the pics from my camera.)

Great collection! Gotta love the SuperOcean, with the black dial. I had one for over ten years, and wore it every day. The Skyland is still my favourite, though, nice choice and congratulations!
Cheers,
Carl

Thanks for the information Mikey. Exactly what I was looking for. I actually have a Steelfish and couldn't be happier with it.
Sorry for misspelling your name............that's what I get for trying to type a quick message while the guys are yelling at me to get out of the office. Good luck with that collection!

Nice collection indeed, Mikey H!

I'm keeping all of my watches from now on, but seeing collections like yours really makes me wish I hadn't sold all the others I've owned over the years! :( You're doing the right thing by keeping them all.

Trust me Flyboy, its amazing how you can amass them over the years. At some point you look in the safe as you are adding one more and ask yourself if they are multiplying. Then you realize there are still a ton left on your list to check off!! My advice is just dont get in over your head, add on as you can afford them, and they will come along!!

Thanks again guys for the positive feedback!! It certainly means alot, considering the collections you guys have!!
